For every footprint of my failures
All my doubt and disbelief
There’s a tide of love unending
To wash it out to sea
Like an ocean with no boundary
You’re invading every shore
To sweep away my sin forever
It’s not mine anymore
Waves of mercy, crashing on me
Your cross has washed
My guilt away
In waves of grace
Even when I try to fight it
You relentlessly pursue
Oh Your kindness overwhelms me
And I’m swept up in You
For every time I’m sure
That my past is all You see
Another crimson wave
Comes washing over me
And every time I bow
To the lie accusing me
Another crimson wave
Comes washing over me
And every time I think
I’m somehow beyond Your reach
Another crimson wave
Comes washing over me
