From every stormy wind that blows
With every swelling tide of woes
There is a calm there is a sure retreat
‘Tis found beneath the mercy seat
There is a scene where spirits blend
Where friend holds fellowship with friend
Though sundered far by faith they meet
Around one common mercy seat
O mercy
Pour it over me
From Your head Your hands and feet
As I bow before the mercy seat
There on eagles’ wings we soar
And sin and sense molest no more
And heaven comes down on our souls to greet
While glory crowns the mercy seat
