Life Without My God

WHAT IF I GOT IT WRONG?
What if heaven was here and was along?
Am I wasting my time? Is the joy that eludes me meant to be mine?
It’s a sobering thought, but

Life without my God is no life at all, nothing at all
My garden grows at the foot of a throne
When I sing through the smiles, sing through the hard times
Tell of the wonders, of this love of mine

I was empty inside, I lowered my head and cried and cried
I’m starting to see it’s hard to surrender what you never received
It’s fundamentally flawed

The Kingdom is near, tell strangers and loved ones
It’s soon to appear like a master or thief in the night
That comes without warning, an army behind
Let the broken join and applaud
