Red and yellow, indigo and green
Orange and violet and blue;
God put the colours in the rainbow
And made a promise too.
God said ‘I’ll never ever, ever, ever
Flood the world again
To make my people see
That when they follow other gods
They turn their back on me’.
God said ‘I’ll paint a lovely rainbow in the sky
And it will be my sign,
That no more floods will cover the earth
Until the end of time’.
