Three Men And A Banquet

A MASTER PLANNED A SPECIAL BANQUET,
3 good friends he invited to it.
His servant went to get them,
Sure that all would be OK.
The banquet will begin on time,
The banquet will begin that day.

The first one said;he couldn’t come,
He had;bought a field that day.
He said Pass on apologies,
I’m sure your master will be OK.
I will come another time,
I will come another day.

The second one said he couldn’t come,
He had bought an ox that day.
He said Pass on apologies,
I’m sure your master will be OK.
I will come another time,
I will come another day.

The third one said he couldn’t come ,
He had just got wed that day.
He said Pass on apologies,
I’m sure your master will be OK.
I will come another time,
I will come another day.

When the master heard no guest would come,
They’d all let him down that day
The angry master spoke and said
Apologies are not OK.
They won’t come another time,
They won’t come another day.

The master said I know who’ll come,
Invite all ‘down and outs’ today.
The banquet was soon buzzing
Everything was A OK.
The guests had found a loving master;
He had found true friends that day.
