What Child Is This

WHAT CHILD IS THIS, who, laid to rest
On Mary’s lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
While shepherds watch are keeping?

This, this is Christ the King
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
Haste, haste to bring Him praise
The Babe, the Son of Mary!
;
So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh
Come peasant king to own Him
The King of kings, salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.

Raise, raise the song on high,
The virgin sings her lullaby:
Joy, joy, for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

(Rap)
Now He was born of Mary, that very special day
A lil’ baby boy sleepin’, down in a manager
Strangers from afar, following a star, came to where He lay
So they could see His face (yup)
Joyful joyful, yeah we adore Thee
Hail the Kings of kings, bow down before Thee
Now we will sing that lullaby, lift Your name on high
Sweet Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

We will sing a lullaby
Lift you, lift you, lift you high
